Puppy Buyers Guidelines
Puppies purchased from Jaya have been bred with the thought of improving the breed's health, temperament, and structure. The parents of puppies are checked for health conditions that could be passed on to the puppies affecting their future health such as hip dysplasia, cataracts, Von Willebrand's Disease, and thyroid disease. Puppies will not leave the breeder's house until at least 8 weeks of age. The puppies will NOT be vaccinated and will be raw fed and future guardians will be expected to continue with natural rearing methods. They will also have been checked for parasites and appropriate natural treatment pursued.
If you would like the puppy to be cropped, you will need to make arrangements to have this done by a certified vet of your choice. I will be happy to assist in any way I can in finding a vet within your area to do the crop for you. I will also not take any responsibility for any injury or death that occurs before, during, or after the cropping has been done that relates to this surgical procedure. There is a risk in putting any dog under anesthesia and I myself prefer not to crop because of this. My puppies are all raised in the house and socialized from the very day they are born. After you have been approved to purchase a puppy, a deposit must be given in the amount of $100.00 to reserve a puppy. Show homes will get first pick of the puppies and pet homes will receive puppies that may not be show potential. The deposit is not refundable should you decide not to purchase the puppy later. If a puppy is not available for pet homes then the deposit will be returned unless another litter is due for you to receive a puppy from. If after receiving a deposit and references are checked and they are not suitable, a refund of deposit WILL NOT be made so as to cover the costs of long distance calls, etc in checking references. Payment in full for the puppy is expected before the puppy is sent to it's new home.
I like to get to know my puppy buyers before letting one of the "kids" leave my house. I am looking for loving homes that will care for them the rest of their lives. I like to hear all the things that the new puppies have learned and done and especially love to see pictures from time to time. I want you to feel free to call me at anytime about anything concerning a puppy that I bred. I feel responsible for this puppy for the rest of his/her life to make sure s/he has a good loving and caring home.
All puppies sold as pets will be sold on a spay/neuter contract only (NO EXCEPTIONS!!!). Pet puppies are rarely sold out of the state. Only with a referral from someone personally known by the breeder or if I know a reliable person in your city, or a known breeder or show person that will be able to help the new owner with things such as ear taping, referrals for training, vet care, and natural rearing practices. You must provide me with the name of the person in your area that will be willing to "sponsor" you. All show puppies going to unproven show homes will only go with a co-ownership with the breeder until terms are met for showing. Bitches will not be sold on an outright sale to someone not already known by me prior to this time.
If these conditions are acceptable and you would like more information, then please contact me via telephone. My home number is 309-456-3964. Also take a few minutes to fill out our questionnaire to see if you qualify to purchase a puppy.
